Dr. Mitch Babcock

Partner | PT, DPT, CF-L3

Mitch has been practicing physical therapy since 2016 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Saginaw Valley State University. He opened HealthHQ in 2016 after graduation. Mitch enjoys practicing physical therapy with a fitness forward approach that combines manual therapy and active movement in order to help you return to doing the things that you love or helping you start on the path to a healthier lifestyle. He has been coaching CrossFit since 2016 and splits his time between coaching and physical therapy practice. Mitch has pursued CrossFit specialties in aerobic capacity training, Olympic weightlifting, and CrossFit Kids. Outside the clinic and gym, Mitch can be found traveling the country educating other Physical Therapists on CrossFit, strength training and rehabilitation of clients.  Mitch enjoys an active lifestyle including CrossFit, mountain biking, water sports and is known as a cookie connoisseur.

Dr. Alan Fredendall

Partner | PT, DPT, CF-L3

Alan has been practicing physical therapy since 2017 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University. Alan joined HealthHQ in 2018 and splits his time between coaching CrossFit and physical therapy practice. He began CrossFit in 2018 and fell in love with the methodology (and the results!). Alan has lost over 150 pounds since beginning at CrossFit Fenton and understands the difficulties in making healthy changes in your life. He loves to help patients pursue a more active and healthier lifestyle. Alan holds advanced certifications in dry needling, blood flow restriction training, and treatment of pregnant and post-partum athletes. He has pursued advanced CrossFit specialties in aerobic capacity training and working with adaptive athletes. Besides traditional CrossFit training, Alan enjoys a very active lifestyle including running, hiking, and camping. Alan served in the United States Army Infantry for 8 years including combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Dr. JoEllen Bender

PT, DPT – Women’s Health Specialist

JoEllen attained her undergraduate degree in exercise science and health science from Saginaw Valley State University. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Michigan in 2016. JoEllen has been working in the physical therapy realm for 7 years as a tech and fitness class instructor. She specializes in women’s & pelvic health, holding certifications in Female Athlete: Ready for Impact and Intensity, Postpartum Exercise Specialist, Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete and has taken multiple courses to thoroughly facilitate a female through any impairments they may be facing. Her passion is meeting clients wherever they are starting in their health/fitness journey and empowering them toward their goals and beyond.

Currently she enjoys staying active with CrossFit, running, traveling and is furthering her knowledge in nutrition throughout the female cycle.

Dr. Haley Dennison 

Physical Therapist | PT, DPT

Haley earned her undergraduate degree in movement science from The University of Michigan in 2018 before attaining her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Michigan-Flint in 2021. Haley is a certified CrossFit Level 1 healthcare provider and enjoys incorporating functional fitness into physical therapy and is particularly passionate about working with young athletes.

Haley was previously a collegiate rower. Outside of work, you can find her enjoying any Michigan sport or spending time with her fiancé, Griffin and their golden retriever, Blue.

Dr. Delaney Heavin

Physical Therapist | PT, DPT
Women’s Health Specialist

Delaney has been practicing physical therapy since 2022 and has a passion for orthopedics & women’s health. She is a graduate of Grand Valley University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and The University of Michigan with a Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate degree. Delaney enjoys helping patients meet their goals and return to the life they want to live. Delaney was a nationally-ranked figure skater while in high school. Currently, she enjoys staying active with CrossFit.

While not at the clinic, Delaney enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, their dogs Ruger & Willow outdoors, hunting and hiking. Delaney lives nearby in Holly, MI.
