Sports Rehabilitation & CrossFit Physical Therapy in Fenton, Michigan

Getting injured is frustrating. Getting generic rehab from a therapist who doesn’t understand your sport is worse.

At HealthHQ, our physical therapists are CrossFit coaches, competitive athletes, and Olympic weightlifting specialists. We don’t just understand the textbook mechanics of your injury — we understand the snatch, the muscle-up, and the feeling of being six weeks out from a competition with a nagging shoulder. And we build rehab plans that get you back to doing what you love — safely and completely.

Sports & Athletic Conditions We Treat

  • Shoulder impingement & rotator cuff injuries
  • Low back pain from deadlifts, squats, or Olympic lifts
  • Knee pain — patellar tendinitis, meniscus injuries, ACL/PCL recovery
  • Hip impingement (FAI) & labral injuries
  • Wrist & elbow pain from gymnastics movements, pressing, or gripping
  • Ankle sprains & Achilles tendinopathy
  • Running injuries — shin splints, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, runner’s knee
  • Muscle strains & overuse injuries
  • Post-surgical return-to-sport (ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral repair)

What Makes Our Sports Rehab Different

Clinicians Who Coach

Several of our Doctors of Physical Therapy are CrossFit Level 1 certified coaches who split their time between the clinic and the gym floor. They’ve competed in CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, and endurance events. When you describe a kipping pull-up or a heavy clean and jerk, they don’t need a YouTube tutorial — they live it.

Sport-Specific Rehabilitation

Generic rehab uses generic exercises. Our return-to-sport protocols incorporate the actual movements of your sport — barbells, kettlebells, pull-up bars, and running — because that’s what you need to be ready for. We progress you through sport-specific loading and movement patterns so you return to training with confidence, not fear.

Movement Assessment & Correction

Injury often starts with a movement problem — not a tissue problem. We offer detailed movement assessments for:

  • Weightlifting (snatch, clean & jerk, squat, deadlift)
  • Running gait analysis
  • Functional Movement Screening

These assessments help identify inefficiencies, compensations, and injury risks before they become problems.

Get Back Under the Bar
