Pelvic Health & Women’s Health Physical Therapy in Fenton, Michigan
Leaking when you laugh, sneeze, or jump isn’t ‘normal’ — and it’s not something you just have to accept. Pelvic pain during intimacy isn’t something you should ignore. And postpartum recovery shouldn’t mean white-knuckling through pain and hoping your body figures it out.
At HealthHQ, our pelvic health specialists provide expert, compassionate, and private care for the full spectrum of pelvic floor conditions — for women at every stage of life.
What to Expect at Your First Pelvic Health Visit
We understand that pelvic health can feel like a vulnerable topic. Here’s what you can expect:
Your first visit is a full hour, one-on-one with your pelvic health physical therapist in a private treatment room
We start with a detailed conversation about your symptoms, health history, goals, and concerns
A physical assessment may include external and/or internal pelvic floor evaluation — but only with your full consent and at your comfort level
We explain every step before we do it, and you are always in control of your care
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your condition and a treatment plan tailored to your goals
Cervicogenic headaches originate in the joints, muscles, or nerves of the upper cervical spine (the top of your neck). They typically cause one-sided head pain that starts at the base of the skull and radiates toward the forehead or behind the eye. These headaches often worsen with sustained postures, neck movement, or pressing on specific spots in the neck.
Physical therapy is the first-line treatment for cervicogenic headaches — and it works. Research shows that spinal manipulation combined with strengthening exercises significantly reduces headache frequency, intensity, and disability.
Tension-Type Headaches
Tension headaches feel like a band of pressure around the head and are often triggered by stress, poor posture, muscle tension in the neck and shoulders, or jaw clenching. Our physical therapists address the muscular and postural contributors to tension headaches through manual therapy, dry needling of trigger points in the upper trapezius and suboccipital muscles, and corrective exercise.
Migraines with Musculoskeletal Contributions
While migraines are a neurological condition, research increasingly shows that musculoskeletal dysfunction in the cervical spine contributes to migraine frequency and intensity. Physical therapy that addresses neck stiffness, trigger points, and muscle weakness can reduce migraine frequency and make episodes less severe — often reducing or eliminating the need for preventive medication.
Pregnancy & Postpartum Package
$1,250 for 10 visits — available for clients who don’t carry insurance or have out-of-network coverage. Visits can be used at any point during pregnancy or postpartum recovery. Most clients use 5 visits during pregnancy and 5 during postpartum. Payment is taken visit-by-visit. Additional visits beyond 10 can be added for $125 per visit.
Too many people suffer in silence because they think pelvic floor issues are ‘just part of aging’ or ‘just part of having kids.’ They’re not. Pelvic floor physical therapy is effective, evidence-based, and available now.
